The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of a NFPA 13R system for a two level apartment building. The system is supplied by 2” underground through a 2” backflow preventer to 1 ½” riser. There are floor level control valves in a valve house. The system piping is CPVC with extended coverage residential sprinklers.

[BLD15-01123] - The drawings are filed under BLD15-01118 in ePlanReview. The NFPA 13-R fire sprinkler system is used for occupancy. To construct a 10,024 square foot two story apartment and parking garage building (5,032 sq. ft. 1st story with 14 one car garages and one 1.e dwelling unit and 4,992 sq. ft. 2nd story with one 2.h dwelling unit, one 2.f dwelling unit, and three 1.f dwelling units). Two units share an interior stairway, two units share a different interior stairway, and one unit has its own interior stairway. Work is to include concrete footings, concrete foundations, concrete slabs on grade, wood stud bearing walls, wood stud shear walls, fiberglass shingles, fiber-cement board siding, manufactured stone veneer, 1-hr dwelling unit separations, interior stairways, interior nonbearing walls, millwork, and finishes. Special Inspection is required for soils and for concrete. The roof truss design is a deferred submittal item. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13-R as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**

Upright head in riser room is to far down from the deck. Underground supply is not on so not testing of fire sprinkler associated devices could be tested (Underground valve must be turned on by SUEZ). Riser brace needs to be attached to the floor.

The 2nd level has a balcony that is not on the approved drawings, this balcony is on the southside of the building located on the end, balcony needs a dry sidewall install for coverage, sidewall install will be verified during tenting inspection.
