The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of Building #1 only. The five level building is protected per NFPA 13. The bottom level is a parking garage. The remaining levels are residential. The 6” underground will supply a 6” backflow preventer and 6” header. There is a dry system for the basement and a wet system for the remainder of the floors. There are two wet standpipes. One standpipe is being used as a combination riser for the floor control valves.

The underground piping is under permit FIR16-00473

[BLD16-01058] - (Building #1) Permit to construct a new 121,503 square foot (5) story apartment building. First floor foundation and concrete podium permit submitted under BLD15-04472. Each floor is approximately 24,176 square feet. Approval contingent upon adhering to the approved plans on file and attached engineering. This building is fully fire sprinklered with an NFPA 13 system to comply with special provisions of section 510.2 and area increase. Scope of work includes: interior finish of the first floor, construction of wood frame 4 story building on top of the previously approved podium, installation of interior non-bearing walls and bearing walls to create 76 individual units, new plumbing, new electrical, new mechanical, new insulation, new windows, new doors, and interior finishes in compliance with Chapter 8 of the 2012 IBC. This building will be sprinklered with special provisions of section 510.2 and area increase. **TLW**

Overhead fire sprinkler piping is covered in numerous areas, a clear pocket must be maintained between sheetrock and fire sprinkler piping for radiant heat to reach pipe. Overehad fire sprinkler piping north of the e;evator lobby is not approved for cover.
