[BLD16-01092] - Permit to construct a new 11,936 square foot fire station. This building is fire sprinklered for area increase and non-separated uses. This building utilizes enhanced lighting to comply with the 2012 IECC. Scope of work includes: construction of poured concrete foundation, construction of reinforced CMU exterior walls, construction of new steel bar-joist floor – ceiling framing / steel pan deck, [construction of interior nonbearing walls to create: 7 sleeping units, 5 restrooms / bathing rooms, lobby, three offices, work room, turn out room, decon room, maintenance shop, riser room, 3 storage rooms, laundry room, janitors closet, fitness room, kitchen, and dayroom], new elevator, new electrical, new plumbing, new mechanical, new interior / exterior finishes, new accessible doors / hardware, and related site work. First floor general rough-in passed with a couple of exceptions which include two additional 90's in both 4" mains close to the riser, missing seismic restraints in the Apparatus Bay and possible required coverage below the brass pole, missing seismic bracing and possible blocked heads in restrooms. The second floor rough-in could not be performed due to pipe routing changes. Plans need to be resubmitted for plan modifications. Additional cover inspections will be required when the sprinkler drops have been cut and located.
