The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of replacing an antifreeze system in the exterior canopy/storage with a new dry system for Ordinary Hazard II.

Permit to remodel an existing 17,744 sq ft retail tenant space within the existing Belmont Plaza. The building was previously occupied by K-Mart and subdivided into smaller tenant spaces under shell/core permit BLD17-01449. Work to include: demo of interior non-structural partitions; new interior non-bearing walls; new entry vestibule doors; new exterior doors; new break room plumbing; new lighting and power; mechanical; and new interior finishes in compliance with Ch. 8 of the 2012 IBC. Special inspections required per attached Form 310. Separate racking permit required for any racking over 8’-0” tall. The fire sprinkler system is used for unlimited area of the building AND to allow 3-hr fire barrier walls in lieu of fire walls. The fire sprinkler system is NOT allowed to be used for building area increase for A Occupancies. Any alterations to the sprinkler system will require a separate permit and shall comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the fire department. **JAR**
