The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of a new single family two level home. The system is designed as a passive purge system. The system utilizes CPVC piping and residential type sprinklers.

Permit for the construction of a new 2493 sq. ft., two story (first story 1260 sq. ft., second story 1233 sq. ft.) single family dwelling with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, approximately 139 sq. ft. of covered patio/porch and a 621 sq. ft. attached garage per the approved plans and any notations. R-1B zoning and setbacks per planning.

Alternative Materials and Methods:
This project includes approved code alternates to the following fire protection systems and/or building life safety systems. Please review the supplemental documents attached to this building permit case for details. Fire protection “shop drawings” shall include approved code alternate design.

Rough to cover inspection for overhead fire sprinkler piping complete, changes were required outside of what was shown on the city approved drawings, as-builts will be submitted showing changes. Cover is approved at the contractors discretion, if changes need to be made due to as-builts not meeting requirements then cover material will need to be removed for corrections. Plastic sheeting used for tenting, all tenting in place at time of inspection.

Hydrostatic test for overhead fire sprinkler piping witnessed at 140 psi (static pressure is required at a minimum, the hydro was completed with pressure above static city pressure), no pressure loss was observed.
