[Maple Grove Elementary Gym Addition]
The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of installing a complete sprinkler system in the new addition. Leave a cap for future expansion of the sprinkler system to the existing building. The system consists of two trees and a side feed layout. The 6” underground supplies a 4” backflow preventer and 4” riser.

Special inspections are required per the attached form 310. This project consists of constructing a 12,003 sq. ft. addition to an existing 45,000 sq. ft. elementary school. The addition includes a gymnasium and support spaces, 5 new classrooms, minor site upgrades, and minor utility work per the approved plans. The new building will be fully fire sprinklered and alarmed. The existing 45,000 sq. ft. building is considered a separate building and will be fire sprinklered per the attached upgrade agreement by December of 2019. The walls separating the new and existing building are to be constructed per the attached code modification. CDM

This project includes approved code alternates to the following fire protection systems and/or building life safety systems. Please review the supplemental documents attached to this building permit case for details. Fire protection “shop drawings” shall include approved code alternate design.
