Fred came into the office today to talk about what he needed if he changed contractors. If he could use the same design minus some equipment etc. I told him he needed to submit the plans he had for review and approval or he would need another design to submit for review and approval. No plans have been submitted for review at this time.

went by for the plumbing inspection, no mechanical work has been done at this time. I have heard from Russ the contractor and he has been working on a design, there is some confusion about the design between the contractor and owner. design requires make up air. I asked Russ to submit the plans for review, no plans have been submitted at ths time.

BS&R called saying they had the hood exhaust system almost complete but said the tenant told him he didnt need the makeup air unit. I told him we hadn't recieved a plan for review and approval or a permit and that the makeup air side would be required. I am unaware of any agreement to delete the makeup air side.

10:30 went over the corrections with Fred. there is an air gap on the dishwasher, ice maker at bar needs a drain for the ice bin and verify air gap inside, disconnect the ice mechine by dish washing area will not be used., disconnect the water to the prewash sink disposal rinse there is no disposal to need it.. run t& p and permit the water heater with other work.

The tenant will provide a design for review with in 30 days showing a type two hood over the doors of the pizza oven, two new up flow exhaust fans on the roof for the existing type one hood. Will address make up air requirements for the new system, and verify the new water heater is drafting properly.

Russ sent over submittal information for a hood that was being concidered for installation asking if it would be code compliant. I sent it to Troy for review. With the information we were given the oven would not be code compliant installed under the existing hood because the hood would not extend beyond the oven by the min. six inches. We did not receive any information about additional clearances required for the equipment. Back, sides, etc.

Russ sent information for a new hood for us to review,I sent it to troy James to review, I asked what their plan was, where the hood was going, replacing existing, leaving the original hood, relocating the oven. The reply was that he didn't know what they were going to do.

I never heard anything else from Drake so I dropped in to see if anything had been done, nothing had been done, didn't talk to Fred or Richard. I got a call from Russ from BSR,an equipment supplier, he said he has been working with Franco's to find a solution for their problem. I asked him how long he had been working with them, he said sense yesterday. he said he was having a meeting the next day with France's and would let me know what they came up with.

stopped by to verify the stainless is installed behing the hood. the stainless is attached to the wood studs. I did have a call from edddie with Drake mechanical today saying that Franco's had contacted them about a hood design, he didn't know what the outcome of that conversation was and Rick Hazard was out of town. The owner is still talking about replacing the hood system.

Fred called 10/20/14 saying he was needing information from the owner about how much makeup air was going to be supplied so his contractor could design a new hood system. I told him he needed to have his contractor contact us so we could give him the information he needed to provide us if they were going to install a new hood system. he said the wood framing at the existing hood had been removed and replaced with the stainless to match the existing.
10/21/14 recieved a call from Greg the owner saying he had his contractor ready to provide the required makeup air for the existing hood. He had talked to the tenants and said they didn't mention any issues about the hood.

After 10 am please-Fred***For Occupancy Phone #: ###-#### - Class 1 hood needs to extend 6" beyond the cooking equipment, currently the cooking equipment extends out past the hood. Grease duct for class 1 hood is not ran in approved material, needs to be changed out to meet code. Need stainless steel between class 1 hood & wall, on wall under hood, stainless steel needs to extend 18" out from edge of class 1 hood. Need make-up air for class 1 hood. Need econmizer for roof top unit. Need to support gas pipe on roof. Any exhaust or plumbing vents need to terminate 10' away or 3' above fresh air openings when make-up air, and economizer are installed.
