Met onsite to discuss the existing class 1 hoods. The existing hoods are not being altered, and are being left as they were originally installed and approved for the previouse tenant. Because of this I agreed to let them remain as, but that they need to install stainless steel on all the wall sufaces within 18" of the hoods, and use noncombustable panels in the grid ceiling with in 18" of the hoods. I also advised that we will need an air balance report for the existing hoods using ther CFM's shown on the drawings
