(THE COMMONS CLIMBING GYM) (DRH19-00043) (BLD19-01136 INTERIOR DEMO) // 09/27/19 PLAN MOD TO REPLACE EAST EXTERIOR CMU WALL THAT COLLAPSED, SPECS FOR INTERIOR WALL FINISHES, AND APPROVED CODE ALTERNATE FOR 2ND ACCESSIBLE MEANS OF EGRESS. JAR // Permit to create an 11,107 sq ft building by building an addition to connect two existing buildings for a new rock climbing gym. Work to include: selective exterior demolition on both buildings; new exterior doors and storefront; new exterior walls to increase the building height on the north building to 45 ft; new roof structure; new floor structure; interior structure to support rock climbing walls; related site improvements; mechanical work including new RTUs; plumbing; electrical; remodeling the interior with new interior non-bearing partition walls, restrooms, stairs, and finishes in compliance with Ch. 8 of the 2015 IBC. Special inspections required per attached Form 310. This building will be fire sprinklered for height, area increase and A3 occupancy and fully alarmed. The Fire Sprinkler and Fire Alarm systems WILL REQUIRE A SEPARATE PERMIT and shall be installed per NFPA 13 and NFPA 72 as regulated by the Boise Fire Department. **JAR**

Exit signage needs to match what was submitted on city approved drawings, provide code compliant hardware on NW exit door, riser room is not 1 hour fire rated due to multiple holes in wall, provide and install knox box. Mount fire extinguishers at max 48" to mechanism as discussed. Still need to verify emergency operation of all emergency lights. Provide a minimum of 5 bicycle parking spaces on the site. The parking spaces shall be a minimum of 6-feet long and 2.5-feet side and have an overhead clearance of 7-feet if covered. A 4-foot side aisle is required between rows of bicycle parking spaces or nearby walls. All bike racks are required to be located on an improved non-permeable surface and anchored to the ground. Submit cut sheets of the proposed bicycle parking racks and covers for final review and approval.

The new tree within the new planter island shall be an approved Class II tree within the Boise City Tree Selection Guide.

2. Please contact Michael Zawacki - mzawacki@cityofboise.org – ###-#### for the requirements for the Erosion and Sediment Control application. Since there is a new concrete slab being poured: an ESC permit will be required. Contact Michael for what will be required.
3. Fire extinguishers could not be located on the cover sheet. The F.E. could be located on the notes, but not located on the plan. Please provide locations.
4. Sheet S-101 could not be located in the drawings folder. Please upload this drawing.
5. Sheet E3.1 Lighting Compliance forms use the incorrect version of the IECC code. Please update to the 2105 IECC. Resubmit drawings with updated COMcheck.
