The doors that currently open into the shipping and receiving area will be removed to create an opening into the exit pasageway. The existing stairway connects the basement, first and second stories and is a one-hour rated exit enclosure. This building is fully fire sprinklered for area. The building is fully alarmed. Any modifications to the sprinkler or alarm system will reqiuire a separate permit and shall comply with NFPA 13 and 72 as regulated by the fire department.
