The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of installing one new wet system with 68 sprinklers in this new 3,794 ft² building. The building is constructed of both combustible and non-combustible materials. The wood attic space above the rooms and offices shall have CCS sprinklers, draft stopped to 1000 ft² sections or less. All sprinkler will be quick response type. The 6" C-900 underground will supply a 4" backflow and 4" main with 1¼" branch lines. The FDC and bell will be on the front of the building face the street.

One story 3794 sf paramedic station with 3-vehicle garage, day room, kitchen, offices, bedrooms, exterior covered porch with perimeter seating wall. One driveway to east for (2) ambulance bays, one driveway to north for (1) battalion chief vehicle. Facility replaces existing building north of new building; staff parking will remain in St. Alphonsus lot (no parking on site). Site is fully landscaped with subsurface drainage. Grease interceptor in ambulance driveway.

Alternative Materials and Methods:
This project includes approved code alternates to the following fire protection systems and/or building life safety systems. Please review the supplemental documents attached to this building permit case for details. Fire protection “shop drawings” shall include approved code alternate design.

• There is one AMM at this time. The AMM does not pertain to the fire protection.
