The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of the below grade parking garage including the water supply and pump. There are 4 dry pipe zones in the garage with all wet pipe to be heat traced to protect from freezing.

Notice:
The provided owner’s certificate indicates the space will be used as a parking garage. However, in the future the space may be used to store or handle hazardous materials. This review is based on the space being used as a parking garage ONLY. In the future if, the space is used to store or handle hazardous materials, a COMPLETE RESUBMITTAL IS REQUIRED.

Contractor’s Note:
The building permit has not been issued at this time. The building department may determine that changes are required to the building plans in order to meet code. The changes may affect the sprinkler system. The sprinkler contractor will be obligated to make all necessary changes that may be required. Therefore, if the sprinkler contractor chooses to proceed without an issued building permit, they will do so on their own cognizance. This note does not constitute an early start agreement.

Recieved pump report from fire pump rep., stating the results from pump test on 6/17.
Report indicated that 150% test could not be performed. I informed Jeff (Shilo) that we would require the pump rep. conduct the next test to ensure that the pump is operating correctly, and that flows at the 150% of pump capacity can be obtained.

Initial fire pump test, witnessed by Tom Walsh and Tim Frost. Test was conducted at various flows, including no flow, 1000gpm and attempted to conduct 1500 gpm test, but could not flow this portion of the test, due to pressure regulator installed after the pump.
NOTE: Pump test will have to beconducted/ witnessed again when the generator and fire alarm systems interface is completed.
