Permit holder not present during inspection. Inspection was for underground cover only. Inspection could not be performed because underground piping had been covered up by the jobsite excavator. Informed excavator that the fire sprinkler pipe needed to be exposed for the inspection to be completed. Communicated with the permit applicant on the status of the inspection and advised him to call the inspection back in when the pipe and fittings have been uncovered.
