The approved plans call out for a smoke damper to be installed on the louver of the boiler room. In lieu of the smoke damper it will be acceptable to install a area smoke detector on the ceiling of the parking garage above the louver and tie it into the building fire alarm panel for early detection. the detector needs to be the extended temprature range style of detector.
