(BOISE MOBILE EQUIPMENT – OCCUPANCY PERMIT) The fire sprinkler system is used for building area increase and for fire area. Application for inspection to determine the requirements for the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy for an existing 53,200 square foot building (about 48,000 square feet 1st story and about 5,200 square feet 2nd story) to be used to manufacture apparatus for fire, police, and emergency service professionals. Egress is directly to the outside at grade for the 1st story. The 2nd story has 2 egress areas each served by 2 stairways that are too close together to be considered 2 separate means of egress. Each 2nd story egress area is considered to have only one means of egress. Each 2nd story egress area is limited to a maximum of 29 occupants. No new work is authorized under this permit except for minor work that may be needed to correct noncompliant conditions that may exist. Painting, carpeting, counter tops, shelves, and similar finish work are not required to have a building permit. Compliance is required with the items listed in the plan review report under Referenced Code Sections because noncompliance with these items is believed to constitute a distinct hazard to life and safety or to discriminate against the disabled. A separate permit is required for racks over 8 feet tall. A separate permit required for paint booths. Welding operations, open flame, use and storage of compressed flammable gasses, etc. are required to comply with the 2018 International Fire Code. A separate tenant improvement permit is required for any new work. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**

The storage racks have been modified so that they do not exceed 8'. I let chad know that they can not exceed 12' in height for storage without a High Pile Storage permit. I am still waiting for fire dept approval for the calculations for the bollards at the nitrogen tank. Also the electrical dept has requested that life safety not be signed off until the required electrical permits are issued for the work that has been performed.

Not ready for inspection yet. No plans or small documents on site, fire extinguishers expired, a paint booth is being installed, it appears a large portion of a CMU wall has been removed, fire alarm panel is non-functional, need verification of fire sprinkler one year and five year inspections....ect.
