The underground hydro test was witnessed with no visible loss on the guage. Per conversation with the general contractor it appears that there will be adequate coverage for the underground supply piping when the asphalt has been installed. See previous entry for coverage concerns.

The remaining length of underground is ok for cover. Plans need to be resubmitted showing the new underground pipe routing. Also I spoke with the contractor about possible bury depth issues as previously noted.

Partial rough to cover inspection for underground supply complete, area inspected today is the piping from the IBR and to the PIV and the section of piping to the west of the PIV to the change of direction. Area inspected approved for cover, remaining underground to be installed at a later date. A re-submittal will be required for the alterations made to the underground.

Todays inspection was just for the 5' stub out which is passed. However exact dept of cover could not be verified. The top of the 6" pipe is located 4'-10" below the line where the blocks sit on the footing. There are two sewer/drain covers roughly 6' away from the pipe which have been place only 2'-10" above the pipe. If these covers are finish grade the the pipe is much too shallow and will need to be dug up and located at the correct depth. I spoke to the sprinkler designers who brought the plans and discussed my concerns and the implications if the pipe is too shallow. The 5' stub out is ok to cover but if too shallow will need to be corrected. No general contractor was on site to verify the actual final grade elevation.
