Description	This fire alarm permit is to upgrade the existing fire alarm system to meet current code requirements. This permit scope of work includes adding, relocating, and/or replacing notification and initiating devices. NAC panels are being provided, as well as voice evacuation in the gymnasium areas. Pull stations are being provided at every exit, monitor modules for conventional attic devices, heat detectors in unsprinklered attic spaces, smoke detection in unsprinklered areas, smoke detectors for door holder release, and HVAC shutdown/monitoring. Two of the three sets of doors did not latch due to positive air pressure from the classroom wings. The roll down fire door functioned with activation on the control box test function. So to final this permit the classroom wing doors need to be adjusted to overcome the air pressure and latch automatically.

See the small version of the city approved plans for areas inspected today. Todays inspection took place in the Administration Building. No signals were tested, only verification of spacing, candellas and testing of smoke detectors. Devices tested have been marked "ok" in red on the plans. See plans for items needing corrected which include door closures, additional notification in the Kitchen and additional notification in the Lunch Room seating area where the visual notification is blocked by banners hanging from the ceiling.
