(CHILDREN’S THERAPY PLACE – NEW TWO STORY BUILDING) (DRH19-00094) (12-31-19 PLAN MODIFICATION TO INSTALL AN ELECTRIC OVEN WITH A COOKTOP AND A STANDARD DOMESTIC HOOD WITHIN THE 1ST STORY BREAKROOM. COOKING OPERATIONS THAT CREATE GREASE LADEN VAPORS ARE NOT ALLOWED. A WORK SURFACE ACCESSIBLE TO THE DISABLED LOCATED NEXT TO THE RANGE WITH KNEE AND TOE CLEARANCE FOR A FRONT APPROACH WILL BE PROVIDED. KNEE AND TOE CLEARANCE FOR A FRONT APPROACH TO THE BREAKROOM SINK WILL ALSO BE PROVIDED. CLARIFICATION CHANGES WERE ALSO MADE TO THE DRAWINGS TO INCLUDE TEMPERED GLASS NEAR THE SWIMMING POOL, DECK DRAIN AT THE SWIMMING POOL, ETC.) The fire sprinkler system is used for fire flow and to substitute for 1-hr corridors. To construct a two story building having a total floor area of about 18,281 square feet (9,866 square feet 1st story and 8,415 square feet 2nd story). In addition, the 2nd story will have a 902 square foot occupied roof with a seasonal membrane shade structure above it. Work is to include concrete footings; concrete stem walls; a concrete elevator pit; a concrete pool pit; concrete slabs on grade with slabs thickened below interior bearing walls; wood stud bearing walls and shear walls; steel columns; steel beam; wood floor trusses with wood sheathing and gypcrete topping; wood roof trusses with wood structural panel decking, standing seam metal roofing, and/or single-ply membrane roof covering over R-35 continuous rigid insulation on top of the roof deck; adjustable pedestal concrete tile pavers above the roof covering at the occupied roof; exterior wood stud walls with wood structural panels and furred out sections with metal panel siding, or cement stucco, or manufactured stone finishes; exterior storefront windows; exterior storefront doors; steel awnings; interior walls; four multi-user toilet rooms accessible to the disabled; four single-user toilet rooms accessible to the disabled; two interior stairways; interior doors; interior windows; horizontal sliding partitions; a therapy pool; millwork; and finishes. Special Inspection is required for soils and for steel (including bolting and welding). Engineered trusses are a deferred submittal item. A masonry trash enclosure with steel gates will also be constructed on site. A 4 foot high non-climbable fence will be constructed around a playground. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the structural design, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. A separate permit is required for the therapy pool. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
