The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of protecting a four level apartment building per NFPA 13R. The bottom level has various service room, offices and a community room. The remainder of the building is apartments. There are two manual wet class I standpipes in the stair towers. The hose outlets are on the intermediate floor landings. The standpipe isolation valves are located on the main fire protection header. Floor control valves are supplied by the north standpipe. The piping is predominately CPVC. The 6” underground piping supplies a 4” backflow preventer and header. The systems are designed with 2 ½” and 1 ½” mains with 1” branch lines. This is a class B seismic zone and therefore, does not require earthquake bracing.

To demolish existing 6,061 sq. ft. restaurant building and to construct a new 34,249 sf, 4-story, 41-unit multi-family apartment building and site improvements. This building is fully fire sprinklered for R occupancy and a story increase and is equipped with and alarm system. CDM

• There are two AMM. However, they do not apply to the fire protection.
