I stopped the inspection when I found that the underground supply piping to the riser was 1" instead of the 2" shown on the plans. Also this 1" piping has alot of 1" 90's before it gets to the riser and none are shown on the plans. Also the plans indicate a rvs-1 residential valve but none is installed. Also there was no way to verify if the yard sprinklers are connected to the main supply and if so that they are shutting off upon activation of the sprinkler system. No other items looked at or tested.

Previously noted items have been corrected, Ceiling cover for overhead fire sprinkler piping approved, all tenting in place for overhead fire sprinkler piping above ceiling at time of inspection. Numerous areas in house has vertical piping inside stub bays that are exposed to the attic space, only insualtion installed in these areas is behind the sprinkler piping not above, will need to verify insulation is installed in the complete stud bay above sprinkler piping before vertical sprinkler pipng can be covered. Sprinkler piping above ceilings is approved for cover, vertical sprinkler piping in walls exposed to the attic space not approved for cover.

Tenting not installed correctly in numerous places, blow in insulation will get inot required pocket between sheetrock and piping. Sidewall heads in the in-law suite are more than 36 inches down from the peak. Freeze protection for vertical pipe in attic spaces is not adequate, relocate piping for correct freeze protection as discussed or provide heat calculations for install to meet the minimum requirement. No cover is approved.

Install piping in wall cavities as discussed instaed of vertical in the attic space. Relocate hangers/straps that are attached to the webbing of the trusses or get documentation from the truss manufacturer showing that the webbing is approved to attach too. Sprinkler heads need to be added in storage area located in the in-law suite, no tenting installed at time of inspection, no cover is approved.
