Description
No ESC permit or notice to ESC division for work conducted Wednesday 5/16. Dirt from 4205 Edgemont dumped here with intention of grading without permit. Some of the dirt is contaminated with heating oil. DEQ and City request to remove all dirt for proper disposal and over excavate. Replace with clean fill dirt and stabilize.

Stockpiles of contaminated dirt were removed. Follow up testing by MTI resulted in additional 1 foot excavation of dirt on surface being scraped. This surface dirt is now in a covered stockpile and will be hauled off next week.

Permit sign posted, construction entrance rock installed. No trackout.

follow up on dirt removal

Dirt has been removed and lot scraped. No new dirt added yet. ESC permit sign now posted. Site entrance has been enclosed with fencing. No longer smelling the oil/fuel smell as before. Case pending with DEQ . Will continue to monitor.

Soil test results received. Hauling contractor will begin stockpile removal tomorrow AM. Request to over excvate top layer and clean out soil placed in former basement depression.

Followed with DEQ Waste & Remediation on protocol for removal. DEQ inspector is also working with contractor.
