Project was reviewed under the 2012 IBC and IFC which required releasing of the access control per section 1008.1.9.8, Ron Johnson allowed the code section 1010.1.9.8 of the 2015 IFC to be applied due to the change in code requirements and application for this project.

Met with Joe and looked at plans. Went over plans, currently there are 6 troubles on the panel due to points for P3 that are tied in but not live on system. This will leave fire alarm throughout school in trouble.
Started looking at CD and placement settings in mezzanie and found they were set at 'FACP' and 15CD in programming. These needed to be 185CD. Strobe placment in mezz. is high off floor and mentioned that this was discussed with Lee Meridith to split high and low distance from top of bleachers to floor to get maximum strobe setting. All mezzanine strobes will need to be changed and re-tested. Per Joe, they will attempt to schedule inspection for 4/19 but he will not be the technician on site.

As builds were missing some points and need updated,.
network addressing from new building to main needs to be fixed in order to show what building the alarm is coming from.
off site reporting does not work correctly. panel will send single alarm signal when panel is in trouble but will not restore or send other alarms till trouble is cleared. spoke with lee meridith and individual alarm/trouble/supervisory signals from panel to aes need to be set up qnd not single zone.
elevator recall and remote mic still need to be tested.

No inspection was performed on the fire alarm system, Boise school district has a permit still in issued status for an AES communicator install (FIR18-00167). The communicator attached to the mentioned permit has never been inspected. Due to the type of install, the communicator will not report out a general fire alarm if there is a trouble on the main fire panel. Boise High School has had troubles on the fire alarm panel and during the trouble event the school is not monitored for general fire alarm events. No further inspection will be completed on the fire alarm addition to the gymnasium until the AES communicator permit is inspected, passed and operational. Per the conversation with Ron Johnson with Boise Fire, this permit will not be finaled for any type of occupancy until the communicator is inspected and finaled.
