Next utility dewatering.
Sheet flowing water into section of site surrounded by berms. Containing the water adequately. Some small spill overs. Talked with (RP) Bruce he has been keeping an eye on the overflow and fixing berm as needed. In event of overflow due to predicted rain event Bruce plans to pump clean water into swales/pond.

Requested cleaning the sidewalk near Parkcenter, checking DI bags on Parkcenter, and keeping ice off of green belt.

Dewatering system okay. Clean water discharging into pond. Water in sedimentations ponds in infiltrating. Slight amount of scum on water in swale but not much. Safety fence placed between sedimentation pond and greenbelt. Will turn on stationary pump on Sunday.
Should run clear.

The next utility dewatering will start next Monday. Planning to sheet flow water and retain it on site within the berm. Have already started construction of berm. Scheduled inspection to check on set up before dewater begins.

Met with Luke (ACHD ESC) and Zack (RP) to preform turidity testing. Took several samples at various locations throughout the dewatering treatment. at the last serdimentation pond, outlet into swale and the outlet into the pond it ranged between 11-14 NTU. In the first sedimentation pond the reading were between 51-80 NTU.
The system is reducing the turbidity.
Turned off the stationary pump to reduce water flow.

Compliance conference regarding dewatering system.

Corrective actions completed 1/24 after failed Site Prep.
- installed riser pipe on outlet to pull water from top of column and increase last pond volume. Filter fabric on top of pipe was not succesful due to backing up water and was removed.
- installed sandbags to direct water into grassy swale instead of straight to pond

Conference and inspection of dewatering activity conducted Wednesday 1/25 @ 8 AM with RP Zach
Dewatering pond discharge was clear at time of inspection prior to construction activity starting for the day. No visible plume or issues. The gravel baffles are working to treat sediment and capture floating foam in the middle chamber to prevent discharge. Sandbags were containing water in the swale channel.

Later @ 4 PM follow up inspection conducted by MMJ and discharge plume in swale channel and pond was visible as well as some foam. Too much water was flowing through system for adequate treatment to occur.

Operator turned off portable work pump and the decreased flow volume. This significantly improved the effectiveness of the dewatering system and discharge started to clear up.

Corrections requested-
- redesign dewatering system/implement controls to keep the flow volume through the settling ponds at continous rate without significant turbid surges to prevent overflow of gravel baffle dams. Submit any dewatering plans to ESC division and notify upon implementation.
- during work, discharge should be monitored regularly to check for issues
- foam captured in middle chamber should not be allowed to discharged

1:30 PM meeting to go over futuer development plans including utiliites & infrastructure.

Derwater activites causing turbid discharge into swale which outlets into pond in MA williams park. Added riser on outlet of sedimentation ponds to slow velocity of water outletting to swale. Status pending on design of dewatering system. The ponds may not have enough retention time to adequatly seattle particles.
